Kayla Jade Morales joined the FMU softball team in fall of 2023.

A native to Hialeah, Fla., Morales graduated from Barbara Goleman Senior High School in 2021. Under head coach Ricardo Lorenzo, she was the varsity captain from her sophomore to senior years and holds multiple records and awards, including first-team all-state for defense, a career batting avg of .392 on varsity with a batting average of .492 and .533 junior and senior years and having only four career errors in highs school.

Morales played for the Pines Thunder Travel Team 16u & 18u teams for three years under head coaches Ricardo Lorenzo and Nicole Bayona.

Morales chose FMU because its close to home and its a good opportunity to play while getting school payed for. Her favorite part about FMU is that its close to home.

Favorite/most memorable sports experience(s): Hitting two back to back home runs in one game, before starting college being named player of the game in college multiple times & being able to help my team win in times needed.
Any other interesting facts about you or your family that wasn't asked above: I started playing softball at 14. I grew up doing mixed martial arts.
