Ricardo Ferrer (2025)

Ricardo Ferrer

Ricardo Ferrer began his professional baseball career in 2006 after signing as a pitcher with the Colorado Rockies. He went on to play more than 10 years of professional baseball, including competing in the prestigious Venezuelan Winter League (LVBP), one of the top winter leagues in the world featuring numerous Major League Baseball players.

After his playing career, Ferrer founded and directed a development academy in Venezuela, where he trained and represented young prospects. Through targeted development programs and high-level showcases presented to all 30 Major League organizations, he successfully guided 11 pitchers to sign professional contracts with MLB teams.

In the United States, Ferrer served as the Junior Varsity Manager at Archbishop Edward McCarthy High School, a nationally recognized baseball program in South Florida. He currently leads a competitive travel baseball program, managing five teams across multiple age groups, with a focus on player development, discipline, and long-term growth.

Alongside his team management responsibilities, Ferrer provides private pitching instruction for athletes at all levels—including youth players, high school athletes, college pitchers, and professional players. He has worked directly with Major League pitchers, contributing to their mechanical refinement, physical preparation, and overall performance.

Ferrer specializes in modern pitching development, with expertise in:

  • Pitching mechanics and applied biomechanics
  • Mobility, stability, and functional movement
  • Strength, velocity, and power-development programs
  • Advanced arm-care and injury-prevention systems
  • Video analysis and technical breakdown of the pitching motion
  • Progressive, science-based training methodologies

He designed and implements a comprehensive strengthening and arm-care program proven to increase velocity, enhance performance, and reduce the risk of injury. His coaching philosophy blends modern sports science with his professional playing experience to develop pitchers who are healthy, efficient, explosive, and prepared to compete at the next level.
