Lady Lions Routs University of Puerto Rico


The Lady Lions brought down the house against University of Puerto Rico and got their second win for the season 73-49. The Lady Lions dominated the court, out shooting University of Puerto Rico by 13 points at the close of the first half. The Lady Lions shot 46.6 % from the field and was perfect (7-7) from the three point line, while holding their opponent to 34.4% shooting for the game.   


At the start of the second half of the game the Lady Lions continue pour it on and dominate University of Puerto Rico. University of Puerto Rico was held scoreless for the first three minutes and the last two minutes of the second half, by the time they had regained momentum there was only 1:30 minutes left to play in the game, which evidently would prove to be too late and Florida Memorial was up by 30 and on their way to victory.


  Diamond Colebrook led a balance scoring attack for FMU with 15 points and 4-4 shooting from the three point arch. Abreona cabella Chipped in 13 points to go along with her 10rebounds while Shelby Miller scored 14 points, grabbed 4 rebounds, and Ashley Henry also contributed 8 points.
