Florida Memorial Men's Basketball team used full-court pressure to pull away and defeat Southeastern University 76-72 in conference play held at Wild Cat Center on the campus of Johnson & Wales University. Florida Memorial picks up their ninth win of the season to improve to 9-15 and 4-9 in conference.
It was a closely-contested game, as both teams fought to hold a lead. The game was tied at 11 different times and the lead changed nine times. One of the biggest difference-makers was the aggressiveness of the Lions, as they out-rebounded the Southeastern 46-35.
In the first half; Southeastern build a six point lead, but Florida Memorial was able to keep the game close and end the half only down by 3 points heading into the locker room.
Florida Memorial trail for most of the second half, But in the final minutes with the game tied up. The Lions knocked down jumpers to secure the victory.
Samuel Dorismond led a balance scoring attack for FMU with 16 points, 8 boards, and 2 assists.
Clive Smith chipped in 15 points, grabbed 6 rebounds to go along 5 blocks while
Tymon Enwerama scored 10 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and
Shaquille Harding poured in 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds
