Florida Memorial Women's Volleyball team tops Ave Maria 3-0 in a Sun Conference match-up on Wednesday night.
Jessica Medina and
Ivana Maric led Florida Memorial with 14 kills and 13 kills, respectively.
Francheska Rivera added 37 assists and seven digs for the Lions.
Florida Memorial hit 42 kills and had nine errors in the match for a .306 hitting percentage. Ave Maria finished with 28 kills as a team compared to 20 errors.
Florida Memorial jumped out to an early lead with a 25-14 first set win. In the second set, AMU fell behind early before chipping away at the Lions lead and tied the set at 23-all. The teams exchanged the next couple points before FMU won back-to-back points to win the set 28-26. The Lions closed out the match in the third with a 25-14 win.
Florida Memorial returns to action on Saturday when they head to Lakeland to take on Southeastern at 2pm.
