Florida Memorial's
Jessica Medina recorded 11 kills to lead Florida Memorial University to a 3-0 win over Keiser University. With the victory, FMU improves to 10-14 overall and records the first 10 games season in over 15 years.
In the first set, Florida Memorial set the tone early as they went ahead 7-4, with both teams going back and forth. But Florida Memorial scored the final point to take the set 25-22.
Keiser made its rally in the following two games. Florida Memorial responded with a run of their own, to take their first lead of the set at 12-11,Then The Lions took nine of the next twelve points, roaring back to take the set 25-23. Florida Memorial dominated Keiser in the third game, winning 25-17.
Yulianna Charris had eight kills and
Tailar Jackson had seven kills, while setter
Francheska Rivera added a game-high 26 assists and 13 digs.
Rebecca Garcia led the team defensively with 14 digs.
Ivana Maric also had five solo blocks.
Florida Memorial returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 4th when it travels to Babson Park, Fla. to face Webber International University in conference matchup.
