The FMU Lions (9-9, 3-6 TSC) took on Webber International University (18-3, 11-0 TSC) on Saturday.
The Webber Warriors entered the match as the first place team with a perfect 10-0 record in The Sun Conference.
During the first set the Lions were playing from behind almost the whole time. Webber would build a 23-19 lead when the Lions decided to start mounting a come back. The third set was all Webber. The Warriors opened up a 15-5 lead when
Yulianna Charris went to the serving line and helped the Lions go on a 6 point run to get the Lions to within four points. But a kill by the Warriors ended the run and allowed the Warriors to continue closing out FMU as they captured the third set and the match with a score of 25-17.
