The Lady Lions of Florida Memorial University (9-4, 5-0 TSC) traveled to West Pam Beach to take on conference opponent Keiser University (5-4, 1-5 TSC).
Kanesha Battle put on a show from behind the three point arc shooting 9-13, 69% and 11-17, 64% from the field. The Lady Lions led throughout the whole game, at one point leading by as many as 32 points late in the fourth quarter, as they defeated Keiser 94-66. The victory improves their record to 9-4 and 5 straight conference victories. The Lady Lions currently are in 2nd place in The Sun Conference standings.
To go along with the aggressive offense output the Lady Lions played suffocating defense as they limited Keiser to 37% shooting from the field and 11% from three point range. Keiser only shot one free throw in this game, compared to the Lady Lions 10-14 from the charity stripe.
The Seahawks committed 21 turnovers that led to 33 points for the Lady Lions.
Other than
Kanesha Battles' lights out shooting, the Lady Lions' Bri Battle score 29 points and 6 rebounds and
Ashleign Gary nearly had a double double with 10 points and 9 rebounds.
The Lady Lions will play at Bucky Dent Park on Tuesday, Dec. 11th at 6:30 p.m. as they take on Florida National University.
