Florida Memorial baseball (10-5) took a 15-14 victory over University of South Carolina Beaufort on Saturday afternoon at Richard Gray Baseball/Softball Complex. With the win the Lions snap a 2 game losing streak. 

The Lions were looking to avoid the sweep, and they did just that. The sophomore Christian Rivera continues to dominate his opponents. Rivera threw six innings allowing just two earned runs, while striking out seven. The Lions offense was led by Sergio Chil and Jacquel Perry, each of them going three for six on the day, with a home run a piece. Axel Gomez also had a big weekend at the plate for FMU. Gomez went four for six with two RBIs in the game. Even after a USCB rally in the ninth, the Lions held on to win the game 15-14.
