Florida Memorial Men's Basketball team used full-court pressure to pull away and defeat Johnson and Wales 74-66 in conference play at FMU Wellness Center. Florida Memorial picks up their sixth conference win of the season to improve to 12-9 and 6-8 in the conference. With the win, Florida Memorial University completes a sweep of Johnson and Wales University.  
 
In the first half, Florida Memorial and Johnson and Wales exchanged basketball for the first seven minutes of the game .Johnson and Wales was able to make a run and stretch its lead to 8 points 26-18, the teams went to the locker room with Johnson and Wales leading 28-20. 
 
 
In the second half, Florida Memorial mounted a comeback with 12:34 to play to take a 43-38 lead. But Johnson and Wales would not go quietly and fought back and forth with Florida Memorial. FMU went 24 for 53 from the floor and out-shot Johnson and Wales 45 to35 percent, while out-rebounding their opponent by a 43-35 margin. The Lions shot 36.8 % from the three point line.
 
Travis Michell   led the Lady Lions with 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Roody Romain poured in 13 points and grabbed 6 rebound, while Davon Williams contributed 11 points.
 
Florida Memorial returns to action on Saturday evening when they head to Warner for a 6:00 p.m. tipoff.
