Florida Memorial Men's baseball team scored seven runs as they defeated Trinity Baptist College 7-0 and 3-2 on Saturday afternoon at Harry T. Moore Baseball Field.
Game 1
Florida Memorial took a 1-0 lead with a run in the first and took a 7-0 lead with six run in the fourth. Rivera, Christian had a nice day on the mound for Florida Memorial, going six innings with no runs game for the Lions.
Game 2
Trinity Baptist College jumped on Florida memorial's starting pitcher, scoring one run in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead Florida Memorial their first run in the bottom of the first inning and Trinity Baptist College later added another run in the top of the second, to take a 2-1 lead.
Trailing 2-1 entering at-bat in the fourth inning, the Lions wasted no time, putting their two runs, which eventually would be the game winning runs.
Sergio Chil went 2 for 4 and batted in three runs in FMU's 3-2 win. All of Chil's hits were singles. The biggest was a two-run scoring single in the fourth inning.
