Lions Take Two From Webber International

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Florida Memorial University Lions baseball team hosted Webber International University Lions in a double-header on Saturday afternoon at 12 p.m.  The Lions won 7-0 in game one and 5-4 in game two. The Lions record improves to 17-8 overall and 9-3 in The Sun Conference.
 
Game 1
 
In game one, the Lions scored four runs in the bottom of the first. The Lions extended their lead with two run in the bottom of the second.  In the bottom of the fourth, the Lions scored one run.  Florida Memorial held Webber International University scoreless for the game, ending the game with the Lions on top, 7-0
 
Sergio Chil went 3-for-3 with two runs scored, three hits one runs, three RBI and one home run. Edgar Aparacio collected the win for the Lions' pitching staff.
 
Game 2
 
In game two, the Webber International scored the two run in the top of the fourth, unanswered by the Lions. The Lions answered with one run in the bottom of the fifth. Webber International extended their early lead in the top of the seventh with two runs. The Lions scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh. The Lions added two runs more runs in the eighth for the win 5-4.
 
Ian Romano collected the win for the Lions. Raymond Guerrero led the way for the Lions going 3-for-5 with two hits one runs and two RBI.
