The Lions traveled to Babson Park, FL to take on conference opponent, Webber International University on Saturday afternoon.
The FMU Lions (3-15, 1-6 TSC) had three players in double digit scoring and shot 37% from the field and 33% from 3-point range. The Warriors of Webber International University (10-8, 2-5 TSC) had a strong defensive effort throughout the game and kept the Lions from getting into any kind of rhythm offensively. The Warriors owned the glass as they out rebounded the Lions 35-57. A big difference in the contest was the shooting percentages from the charity stripe, the Warriors shot 72% and the Lions shot 50%.
The Lions were led by
William Phelps who had 15 points, Chalie Nedd-Araujo had 13 points, and
Rodman Allen had 12 points.
The Lions will look to get back on track as they go on the road next Thursday, Jan. 10th at 7:30 and they take on Ave Maria University at Ave Maria, FL.
