(MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.) -- Taking on another Miami Gardens powerhouse, the Lions fell 1-3 to St. Thomas, Wednesday, October 16.
The Lions fall to 12-8 overall while the Bobcats increase their record to 7-12.
St. Thomas' win is the third straight conference loss the Lions posted after falling to Southeastern twice last week.
FMU lost the first two sets 21-25 and 14-25 respectively.
In the third set the Lions seemed to pick up the energy leading by as much as eight. They would win the set 25-17.
The fourth set went back and forth for the teams but the Bobcats 5-1 run late in the set to take a 22-16 lead.

Sammyra Albarran led the Lions with nine kills while sophomore
Dayla Hall was a force at the net collecting seven blocks.
The Lions head to Florida National University, Thursday, October 17 for a non conference match up starting at 7P.M.
