(MIAMI, FLA) -- The Florida Memorial University men's soccer team dropped a 0-4 match to Warner University, Wednesday, October 2.
The Royals scored two goals within a minute of each other on the Lions to take a 2-0 lead a little over 16 minutes into the match.
Struggling early on, the Lions only took four shots in the first half and allowed Warner to score two more goals before the 30th minute.
After a heartfelt tribute in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month to Marcela Caro, the mother of freshman
Paolo Caro during halftime, the Lions defense came back with a new attitude.
Both teams took five shots in the match and neither were able to land any within the net.
Seniors
Luis Martinez and
Jose Isaac Romero took three shots each in the match.
Sophomore goalie
Angel Garcia collected four saves.
The Lions have a week off before returning to action on the road against Keiser Univerisity at 11 a.m.
