(SAVANNAH, GA) -- Wet fields, game delays and multiple injuries resulted in a 0-11 loss for the Florida Memorial University women's soccer team, Sunday, October 6.
The Lions traveled up to Savannah Georgia to take on the Bees from Savannah College of Art and Design.
Originally the match was to take place on Saturday, October 5 but inclement weather damaged the field and the match was postponed until the next more.
The Lions wouldn't take the field until 3P.M. Sunday afternoon due to issues with the officials. Once the match FMU experienced a cycle of injuries starting in the first two minutes.
After dropping below seven players due to injury the game would end early and the Lions' record would drop to 0-9, and 0-4 in the conference.
Their next matchup is Wednesday, October 9 against Keiser University at home. The game starts at 1:00 P.M.
