JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Florida Memorial women's basketball team was defeated by longtime rival Edward Waters, 87-48, Friday evening at the Adams-Jenkins Complex.
After settling the game-day jitters, FMU came back in the second half with a different game plan and ended up out rebounding the Tigers, but unfortunately that wasn't enough to come back from a 3- point deficit.
Leading the pack were seniors
Isis Lane and
Ashleign Gary, each finished with nine points and seven rebounds apiece. Senior
Danielle Bailey added eight points and six rebounds while rookie
Ixsamar Gonzalez chipped in seven points and five rebounds off the bench.
FMU travels to Johnson University on Saturday, Nov. 9 and is eager to claim a victory on the road. Jump ball is at 2 p.m. ET in Kissimmee, Fla.
