Florida Memorial University Athletics Partners With CLC

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Florida Memorial University has agreed to a multi-year partnership with the CLC to manage the trademark licensing of the university's intellectual properties through the athletic department. FMU becomes the 50th HBCU to partner with CLC.
 
"CLC is the premier trademark licensing company in the athletic and higher education spaces," FMU Director of Athletics, Jason Horn said of the partnership. "We discuss regularly about our strategy to expand our brand and giving our Lion faithful more opportunities to show their energy and loyalty for the university. We look forward to venturing into new areas of marketing strategies with licensees across the country – including retail development and brand protection."
 
The only historically Black college or university in South Florida, FMU has a rich history as an institution. Through its partnership with CLC, Florida Memorial's athletics program will continue to put itself, its student-athletes, and its coaches in the forefront and continue to carve out its own space in the dynamic world of sports locally and nationally.
