BATON ROUGE, La. | Florida Memorial suffered its first loss of the season as it fell 86-0 on the road against NCAA FCS opponent Southern University at A.W. Mumford Stadium.

On the defense end, Amari Taylor produced a team-high eight tackles in the loss. Defensive back
Terry Smith generated an interception, including a 30-yard return.
FMU drops to 1-1 on the season while the Jags start the season 1-0.
The Lions return to action on Saturday, September 10 as it faces Southeastern University. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Victory Field in Lakeland.
