MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | The Florida Memorial University women's soccer team fell to No. 14 SCAD-Savannah 2-0 in the final home match of the season.
The first half went scoreless between the Lions and the Bees, but SCAD answered with two second-half goals to overtake FMU, handing them their fifth loss of the season.
Senior
Kiara Kallie led the team in shots with two, while
Anna Lluch Peral and
Jada Samuels chipped in one shot each for a total of four for FMU. Despite surrendering two goals, goalkeeper
Lucia Martinez Garcia generated six saves in the match.
The loss drops FMU to 8-5-2 on the year and 4-4-2 in conference play.
The Lions return to action Saturday, November 2, when they'll travel to Southeastern for the regular season finale. Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m. in Lakeland, Fla.
