MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial fell to Southeastern in three games in a weekend series at Walt Frazier Park at Carol City.
Game 1
Southeastern 9 - Florida Memorial 1 (6 innings)
FMU fell behind in the top of the first before tying the game in the bottom stanza as freshman
Leneaya Silva was hit by a pitch, allowing
Heidy Olivo to score the only run of the game for the Lions. The Fire managed eight straight runs to end the contest, giving Florida Memorial a loss to start the weekend series.

Emma Silva was credited with the loss, allowing nine earned runs while striking out one Fire batter.
Game 2

The Lions took a lead in the fifth inning when Kayla Morales generated an RBI-single to left field that scored catcher
Ciera Taylor for FMU's only run of the contest. Southeastern responded with a run in the top of the sixth inning, then capped the contest with three more runs in the top of the seventh inning to erase any comeback attempt.

Gabriela Pinto earned the loss, giving up four runs in 6.1 innings before being replaced by relief pitcher
Alyssa Estrada.
Game 3
Southeastern 6 - Florida Memorial 3
Down 2-0 in the second inning, Florida Memorial poured in three runs in the bottom stanza as catcher
Ciera Taylor cranked a two-RBI triple to right field, scoring outfielder
Aashana Francis and first baseman
Kylie Enrique. Moments later, Olivo produced an RBI-single to score Taylor, bringing the score to 3-2 in favor of the Lions.
However, the Fire stormed back with four runs to end the contest and the series over the Lions, who fall to a four-game skid.
The Lions return to action on Friday, March 29 as they host St. Thomas in the Battle of Miami Gardens. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Walt Frazier Park at Carol City.
