The Banyans responded with two runs in the top of the fourth inning, regaining a one-run lead.
FMU had a golden chance to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh inning with runners on the corners, but after Olivo took an automatic base on balls to get to first, left fielder
Kayla Jade Morales struck out to end the contest and the doubleheader.
Breana Morales (2-2) was credited with the loss as she pitched a complete game, striking out four batters while giving up three earned runs.
The Lions return to action on Thursday, April 11 as they host Keiser in conference play. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. at Walt Frazier Park at Carol City.
