BRUNSWICK, Ga. | Florida Memorial's softball team battled toe to toe against one of the premiere teams in the conference, falling in two one-run nail-biters before being swept in game three.

The Lions trailed 1-0 after the first inning before giving up runs in both the third and fifth inning.
Down 3-0 in the seventh inning, FMU's bats came to life when catcher
Ciera Taylor knocked a two-RBI single to right field with the bases loaded, bringing home both
Bianca Campos and
Ariyuana DuPont. With Kayla Morales on third base, FMU had a golden chance to tie the contest, shortstop
Heidy Olivo popped up to right field, ending the dramatic comeback.

Gabriela Pinto was credited with the loss, allowing three earned runs on five hits while striking out one Mariner.
Game 2
Coastal Georgia 1 - Florida Memorial 0
This pitching duel resulted in just four hits for the Lions. In the top of the fifth inning, Coastal Georgia broke the scoreless tie with a double to center field, scoring the games' only run.
Lions' pitcher Pinto pitched a sensational game, allowing just one earned run while striking out two batters in the slim loss.
