MARION, Ind. | Five Florida Memorial female student-athletes will participate in the 2024 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships from May 22-24 on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.
Quanay'a Jenkins,
Shannon Levy,
Khamia Morris,
Amealia Smith and
Andreana Graham will represent the Lions in Indiana. The women's 4x100 relay team, comprised of Jenkins, Levy, Morris, and Smith will compete in the relay while Graham serves as an alternate.
In the individual events, Graham, the NAIA All-American and SUN Conference long jump champion, will represent FMU in the long jump.
"Andreana has done very well considering our short time working together," said first year head coach Dwayne Miller. "She got her first All-American award for indoors, so we're looking forward for more success at outdoor nationals."
In addition, Levy, the SUN Conference champion, will compete in her first collegiate national championship in the women's 100 meter dash.
"Shannon has done a great job considering she's a freshman, winning the conference in the women's 100 meters. Winning as a freshman is a big deal not only for her, but for our program as well. It shows her progress and shows the future is really bright. She's also the lead off and one of our best runners in the 4x1 relay, so we put all that together and hopefully come back with a medal. We are going in at 47.5 (seconds), and we just want to continue to get better."
