GAINESVILLE, Fla. | Florida Memorial University competed at the Celebration Pointe Classic and set multiple records, including setting a new school record.
Narrson Tulloch tossed a Sun Conference leading performance and a school of 17.07m in the men's weight throw. In addition, Isaiah Palmer posted a personal best of 21.90 and freshman Mense Houndje ran a PB of 22.99.
On the women's side Yasmyne Williams broke the school record in women's 60m hurdles with a NAIA B standard national qualifying time of 8.77 placing third in the finals. Taela Campbell also broke the school record in the women's weight throw with 14.87m.
Lady lion Shanise Ellis ran a PB in the 60m of 7.68, just shy of B standard national qualifying time of 7.64.
Finally Akira Hamilton opened her season in the long jump (5.53) and 60m (7.82).
The Lions return to action Friday, February 20, for day one of the Sun Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships in Gainesville for a two-day weekend.
