SANTA CLARITA, Calif. | Florida Memorial University ended its trip to California on top with a 75-70 victory over The Master's on Tuesday afternoon. The Lions and the Mustangs exchanged the lead all game long, and were tied 33-33 going into the half. Jeffrey Selden with 22 seconds left to seal the win for the Lions.
Junior
Devin Carter led the team in scoring with 16 points, going 4-of-8 from the field and a perfect 6-of-6 from the charity stripe, while co-leading the team in rebounds with seven, alongside
Braxton Lewis. Teammates
Cameron Noel and
Morgan Brewer each scored 15 points for FMU, with Brewer shooting perfectly on 7-of-7 from the field. Selden added 14 points for FMU, marking four Lions scoring double-digit points.
The win moves FMU to 9-5 on the season.
