HENDERSON, Tenn. | Florida Memorial University's dream season comes to an end as they fall 68-47 to Freed-Hardeman in the second round of the NAIA Women's Basketball National Tournament at the Brewer Sports Center.
FMU is eliminated from the NAIA Tourney

The Lady Lions of Freed-Hardeman went on a furious 14-2 run to open the game, and FMU could never fully recover from the initial blow.

The Lions were led by 2024-25 SUN Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year Kamesha Moore who finished with a team-high 12 points on 3-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc to go along with two rebounds and one steal before fouling out of the contest. Teammate and Tennessee native Makayla Transou generated 10 points on a dismal shooting night, going just 2-for-11 from the field to go along with four rebounds and one steal. However, she was a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. Fellow Lion and former All-American Jada Johnson added 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field.

As a team, Freed-Hardeman dominated FMU on the block as they scored 38 points in the paint compared to just eight for the Lions.

FMU was outrebounded 35-30 and scored 18 points off of 17 Freed-Hardeman turnovers, not capitalizing on their opponent's mistakes.

For the Lady Lions, Jenna Satterly controlled the game and finished with a game-high 27 points, six boards, one steal and one block. She also shot a perfect 15-for-15 from the free throw line.
