BABSON PARK, Fla. | Florida Memorial University's women's volleyball team scored its first set win of the season against Webber International. Despite falling 3-1 (25-23, 18-25, 15-25, 19-25), the Lions stayed competitive throughout the match, in one of their best showings of the season.
Set one was a back-and-forth affair, as each team exchanged points. Tied 22-22, FMU called a timeout and, coming out of it, scored three crucial kills to take home the set against WIU. The Warriors went on to sweep the final three sets, handing FMU the defeat, dropping them to 0-12 on the season and 0-4 in conference play.

L'fe Roberts had a stellar day, earning a double-double with 16 kills and 11 digs. Sophomore
Serena Edwards played a vital role, leading the team in aces with three and in digs with 22 on the day. Freshman
Anisa Wilson provided key contributions with three blocks, while junior
Carolina Alonso played a vital role, as she led the team with 22 assists.
The Lions return to action Monday, September 22, when they'll travel to Temple Terrace to take on Florida College. First serve is slated for 7 p.m.
