SARASOTA, Fla. | Florida Memorial University took care of business against New College of Florida, with a 1-0 road victory at NCF Bayfront.

It was a tight scoreless contest for much of the match. In the 86th minute, freshman Alba Carcamo-Alvarado broke the tie with the match-winning goal to propel FMU to 2-0 on the season.

Goalkeeper Isabella Rueda finished the day with six saves defending the net.

Florida Memorial University returns to action on Wednesday, September 10, when they'll host Florida National in the home opener. Kickoff is slated for 11 a.m. at Dr. Lester Brown Park.
