MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University fell 60–51 to Webber despite a strong fourth-quarter surge and balanced scoring efforts from its starting lineup. The Lions (19–53, 35.8%) battled throughout the contest but were ultimately hindered by second-chance opportunities.
FMU opened the game competitively, shooting 33.3% from the field in the first quarter and briefly building an early lead of eight points at the 2:27 mark. Senior

Dominique Garcia Blackwood anchored the boards with seven rebounds and four assists, while Rainey and senior
Jasmine Worthy helped facilitate ball movement as FMU totaled 13 assists on 19 made field goals.
The Lions mounted a strong push in the fourth quarter, shooting an impressive 63.6% from the field and 50.0% from three-point range while converting all four free-throw attempts. Despite the late surge, the deficit proved too large to overcome.
