BABSON PARK, Fla. | Florida Memorial University dominated Webber International, sweeping the Warriors on the season after an 84-72 victory. The Lions scored 40+ points in both halves, while holding WIU to less than 40 points in each half.
Senior
Devin Carter led the team in scoring with 26 points on 9-of-16 from the field and 75% from three. Sophomore
Sehmaj Mentor added 15 points for FMU on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting, while teammates
Aa'reyon Munir-Jones and
Cameron Noel completed the quartet of Lions who scored 10+ points. Mentor led the team in rebounds with six, while Munir-Jones led in steals with three.
The win moves FMU to 17-7 on the year and 9-3 in conference play.
FMU returns to action Monday, February 9, for the rescheduled match against No. 4 Ave Maria. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at the Tom Golisano Field House.
