AVE MARIA, Fla. | Florida Memorial University put on a clinic against Ave Maria in a dominant 72-48 victory. The Lions fired on both sides of the ball, holding the Gyrenes to 14 points or less in all four quarters, while scoring 21 points in the second and 26 in the fourth.
Junior
Kalea Rainey led the team in scoring with 19 points, while sophomore
Jazlynn Givens added 17 points for FMU. Senior
Jasmine Worthy finished with 16 points, along with a team-leading nine rebounds.
The win moves FMU to 12-8 on the year and 7-6 in conference play.
