TOPEKA, Kan. | Florida Memorial University's cheer team will compete at the 2026 NAIA Nationals. Led by head coach Ayana Harris, the team continues their historic season, after finishing runner-up in the SSAC Conference finals, earlier this month, and winning the regular season title.
The team is currently 11th in the country, out of 67 programs, in points scored, with 86.24 points per game.
The Lions received awards for five all-conference athletes, along with all-academic and champions of character. The awards and winners are listed below:
Senior - Sierra Johnson - SSAC All Academic Team
Sophomore - Chaise Dowdell - Champion of Character

Freshman - Anaya George
Freshman - Arianna Parker
Freshman - Jordan Scimmons
Junior - Jamiyah West
Senior - Jayada Rouse
FMU will compete at 5 p.m. on March 27, at the Stormont Vail Events Center.
