LAKE WALES, Fla. | Florida Memorial University defeated Warner 8-3 in the series finale to split the series, 2-2. The Lions hit the ball efficiently, with 12 hits on the day, to the Royals' eight, and only committed two errors on the day.
Pinch runner,
Damarion Butler, led the team in runs with two, while right fielder,
Armando Ramirez, led the team in hits with three and in RBI with three. Junior,
Esteban Jogins, (4-2), got the win, allowing only five hits and one earned run in six innings, while striking out seven Royals.
The win moves FMU to 16-15 on the year and 3-9 in conference play.
FMU returns to action on Tuesday, March 31, for a doubleheader at Trinity Baptist. Time is TBA in Jacksonville, Fla.
