MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. | Florida Memorial University struggled against Webber International, falling 6-4 and 10-2 for a doubleheader sweep. The Lions opened both games with leads, with a 4-0 lead in game one, but they couldn't keep up with the Warriors, however, they did take game one to extra innings, just falling after a two-run top of the 10th from WIU.
Jesus Gonzalez started game one for the Lions, allowing five hits and three earned runs in 3.2 innings.
Esteban Jogins, started the second game, allowing nine hits and five earned runs in five innings.
The losses drop FMU to 16-18 on the year and 3-11 in conference play.
FMU returns to action Saturday, April 4, for the series finale doubleheader against Webber. First pitch is slated for 10 a.m. at Harry T. Moore Baseball Field.
