Geovannie "Geo" Lake joined the FMU men's soccer team in fall of 2022.

A native to Basseterre, St. Kitts, Geo comes to Florida Memorial after playing at Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College from 2015-2017, where we won a championship. After playing at Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College, Geo played for the Garden Hotspurs club team from 2017-2021, coached by Austin Huggins. Geo holds the record for most goals most assists.

Geo played high school soccer at Basseterre High School in Basseterre, St. Kitts under head coach Alexis Morris. Geo earned a multitude of awards and accolades, including three-time Sportsman of the year award, U14 champion, two-time U16 champion, soccer three-time mvp and most goals four times. Geo also played on the school's basketball, volleyball, and track & field teams, winning championships in basketball and volleyball. Geo earned multiple varsity letters across all his sports, including five in soccer, three in basketball, three in track & field, and one in volleyball.

Geo chose FMU because it was the only HBCU out of his four scholarship offers and it’s closer to the Caribbean. His favorite part of Florida Memorial is the diversity.
