Andres Mendes joined the FMU baseball team in spring of 2024.

A native to Mexico City, Mexico, Mendes previously attended Trinidad State College for two years, playing on the baseball team and finishing runner up team in Region 9. He graduated from Christian Broadfording School in 2021, where he played under head coach Todd Weldon and won was named senior pitcher of the year. Mendes played for the Liga Olmeca team for 14 years under head coach Jose Luis Mendez.

Mendes chose FMU because they gave him an opportunity to play. His favorite part about FMU is hanging out with his teammates. Mendes' interests include:
