Claudy Mathieu joined the FMU family as defensive line coach in May of 2023.
A native to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mathieu graduated from Notre Dame College in 2018. In his junior and senior years, he earned All-American and first team all-conference honors in addition to being named team captain.
Mathieu signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2018.
In high school Mathieu played in his school's all-star game and was name defensive MVP.
In 2021, Mathieu became the assistant defensive line coach at Newman Goretti High School. He has played multiple leagues, including the NFL, AAF, AFL, & IFL.
In 2022, Mathieu became a graduate assistant at St. Thomas University, before joining the Lions a year later. He is currently earning his MBA at St. Thomas.
