Florida Memorial University Athletics

Taylor Payne started her coaching career at Florida Memorial University shortly after graduating as a Graduate Assistant. The 2020-21 season is her forth year as assistant coach. Coach Payne handles guard development, individual & team statistical analysis, game scouts, fundraising and community outreach.

During her first season (2017-2018) the Lady Lions finished fourth in The Sun Conference. Under Head Coach Gregory Stanback, Payne assisted in the development of Abreona Cabell an All-American, First-Team All-Conference, and All-Defensive Team player for the Lions. 

During her third season (2019-2020) Payne assisted in the development of Isis Lane an All-Sun Conference First-Team player for the Lions. 

Payne graduated from Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL, in 2015 with an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design. At Santa Fe College, she was also a member of the women’s basketball team. She later earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor of communications (2018) from Florida Memorial University.
