Cor’Niya "Niya" Johnson joined the FMU women's basketball team in fall of 2023. 

A native to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Johnson previously attended North Country Community College for two years. She graduated from Boyd H Anderson in Lauderdale Lakes, Fla. in 2021. Under head coach Larry Brown she won two varsity letters. 

Johnson chose FMU because she was recruited to FMU. Her favorite part about FMU is a lot of people unlike her old school.
