Biography
Laila Ortiz-Nolan joined the FMU women's soccer team in Fall 2024.
A native of Albuquerque, N.M., Ortiz-Nolan previously attended Pratt Community College for one year, where she played soccer under head coach Tom Gaskell, winning MVP. Ortiz-Nolan graduated from Sandia High School in 2023, playing soccer under head coach Jay Sheerdan. She played all four years and was a two-time second-team all-district and an American all-district. For five years, she played for the Rush Soccer team in Albuquerque, N.M.. Under head coach Pancho Macias, she won two state championships, second place in regional's, and made nationals.
Ortiz-Nolan chose FMU for the soccer program. Her favorite part about FMU is the environment. Her interests include:
