Maria Rodriguez joined the FMU women's volleyball team in fall of 2021.

A native to Batabano, Cuba, Rodriguez previously attended South Florida State College from 2019-2021. She played on the volleyball team where she was a two-time All tournament team, first team all conference , second team all conference, and an MVP. She graduated from Southwest Miami Senior High in Miami, Fla. in 2019. Rodriguez played a multitude of sports, including basketball, flag football and volleyball. She won four varsity letters won two states final fours and two district champions and was named first team all conference twice and second team all conference.

Rodriguez played for the Miami Hype in Doral, Fla. for seven years under head coach Emilio Rodriguez. Her interests include:
