Seth Morris is a highly accomplished sport performance coach known for his innovative approach and proven track record of success with elite athletes. Respected by coaching peers and athletes alike, he has demonstrated a high aptitude for maximizing athletic performance across various disciplines.
With extensive experience in sport sciences, including velocity-based training, GPS analysis, force output, and autoregulation, Morris has served as the Director of Sports Performance at Alabama A&M University for the 2023-2025 season. Prior to that, he was the he Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Edward Waters University from 2022 to 2023. His previous roles include Director of Sports Performance at McDougle Tech (2020 to 2023) and Associate Director at Southern Mississippi (2018 to 2020). Morris also served as Assistant Director of Sports Performance at Stillman College from 2016-2018.
In addition to his collegiate experience, Seth has worked in professional athletics, including a stint with the Arizona Rattlers in the AFL and volunteer internships with the Arizona Cardinals Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys. His early career included an internship at Penn State University, where he also earned his graduate assistantship from 2012 to 2014. Morris holds a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in kinesiology from Penn State University.
As a tireless leader, Seth is dedicated to empowering and enhancing student-athletes through a holistic approach that promotes a championship lifestyle. He is knowledgeable in the ever-evolving landscape of college athletics, including NIL, transfer portals, and roster retention, allowing him to effectively identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for training athletes in speed, agility, power, and strength, ultimately enhancing their durability and availability for competition.
Morris currently holds several certifications, including CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist), FMS (Functional Movement Systems), and PES (Performance Enhancement Specialist ), CES (Corrective Exercise Specialist ), USAW as well as First Aid certification. His commitment to excellence and genuine passion for athlete development make him a vital asset to any athletic program.
