MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Florida Memorial men's basketball team won its third game of the season over a ranked team. Florida Memorial pulled off the upset over fourth-ranked St. Thomas University 68-59 on Thursday night at the FMU Wellness Center.  Florida Memorial used a tenacious defense and a balanced offensive attack to steal the win. With the win, Florida Memorial University snapped a six-game losing streak against St. Thomas University.

After falling behind by seven 14-7 over the first ten minutes of the game, FMU went on a 21-4 run over the ensuing 5:46 of the game to pull in front 28-18. FMU's lead grew to as many as ten.  The Lions went into the locker room up 30-21 at halftime.
