Florida Memorial University Athletic Department hosted its Annual Athletic Banquet

Florida Memorial University Athletic Department hosted its annual Athletic Banquet at the Albert E. & Sadie B. Smith Dining Hall /Conference Center on April 21, 2016. Student-athletes, friends, family, coaches, faculty and staff were all on hand as the department honored the athletes for their athletic and academic achievements in the 2015-16 school year.

Students were given awards in eight different categories; Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Coaches Award, Offensive Player of the Year, Sportsmanship, Academic Award and Senior Awards.

Thompson Hospitality catered the dinner at the April 21^st event. Attendees included Dr. Roslyn Clark Artis, Mr. Keith Allen, Mr. Vernon Martin, Jr, Mrs. Yvonne Bendross and Mrs. Kathy Chippey Way.

"We are extremely proud of all of our award winners today," said Robert Smith, Director of Athletics. "Receiving national and conference recognition reflects how our student-athletes at Florida Memorial strive for success in the classroom and their respective sports."
