Florida Memorial University men's basketball team (4-3, 1-3 TSC) hold off College of Coastal Georgia 70-68 on Saturday night at Coffin Gym on the campus College of Coastal Georgia.
Florida Memorial opened the game with a 7-0 run, but Coastal Georgia responded with a run to tie up the game 21-21. The teams went back-and-forth for the rest of the half with Florida Memorial heading to the break with a 44-33 advantage.
Coming out of the break, Florida Memorial opened the second half on a run and was able to extend its lead to 14,53-39. Coastal Georgia came back with an 18-4 run to take a 68-67 lead with: 40 to play. Florida Memorial made enough free throws down the stretch to hold off Coastal Georgia 70-68.
Davon Williams led the Lions with 30 points. Travis Mitchell finished with 16 points and 5 rebounds.
