The Florida Memorial University Lions (2-9, 1-4 TSC) traveled to West Palm Beach to take on conference opponent Keiser University (4-8, 2-4 TSC) on Saturday afternoon.
The Seahawks jumped all over the Lions early and often in this contest. The Seahawks scored the first three points and never looked back, they led wire to wire. The Seahawks led by as much as 22 points in this contest and had 4 players score in double figures.
The difference in this game was the efficiency of the Seahawks' half court game. Although FMU had a slight advantage in rebounds, 40-36, Keiser was able to score 42 points in the paint while FUM had 26. The Lions were more aggressive from three point range, taking 27 shots compared to the Seahawks 14, but the Lions only shot 29% from behind the arc. The Seahawks shot 52% from the field while the Lions shot 34%.
Leading the way for the Lions was Euguene Harvey scoring a double double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
The Lions will be on the road on Tuesday, Dec. 11th, at Buck Dent Park in Hialeah, to take on Florida National University at 7:30 p.m.
