With Saturday's sweep of Warner University, Florida Memorial men's baseball team claim it's
eighth-straight victory and is off to the best start in school history through 12 games. The Lions swept Warner 12-8,8-2 and 5-0 ,With the win, the Lions improved to 9-3 overall and 6-0 in TSC.
Game 1
In the first game of the three game series against Warner, The Lions won by score of 12-8. This game included three home runs by FMU players, one of them being a grand slam hit by Emilio Marrufo. Deivis Jacomino was the winning pitcher for the Lions as he threw 3 ? innings while giving up no runs on no hits and striking out five on the day.
Game 2
The second game of the series also played in favor of the Lions. The Lions recorded a shutout in game two behind the arm of Carlos Alcon. Alcon threw seven innings giving up no runs on three walks and five strikeouts.
Game 3
Christian Rivera tried to remain undefeated on the mound, and he did just that. The Lions won game three by a score of 8-2, and Rivera surrendered his first run of the year. Rivera threw 6 ? innings, giving up two runs, walking two and striking nine on the day. Chris Clara also homered again in game three, giving him two on the season.
