The Lions came into this weekend riding an eight game winning streak, and a perfect six and zero record in conference play.
Game 1
In game one of the three game series, the Sand Sharks jumped out to an early lead over the Lions, after scoring nine runs in the first inning. USCB continued to put runs on the board all throughout the game and coming out with an 18-8 victory over the Lions.
Game 2
Game two was a low scoring affair, and a pitcher's duel. USCB's, Nick Constan was lights out for the Sand Sharks. Constan threw a complete game, allowing just one run on four hits, while striking out seventeen on the day. Carlos Alcon threw for the Lions and had a solid day's work. Alcon threw five innings and gave up four runs on seven hits, while striking out seven. Jose Chavez scored the Lions' lone run of the game, when he crossed the plate in the top of the seventh on a Sergio Chil single.
