Down five runs in the bottom of the third inning, the Lions scored nine unanswered runs in the game, to earn the 9-6 victory over the Chestnut Hill College Griffins. The Griffins got on the board early in the game, scoring five runs in the first inning and one in the third. It was all Lions from here, scoring nine unanswered runs. Florida Memorial's offense was on fire, as seven out ten batters recorded an RBI, with four doubles, while hitting .351 on the day.
The Lions also performed well on the mound today.
Kyle Parks earned the victory, after tossing five scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Parks is now 2-0 on the season and is averaging nine strikeouts per game.
The Florida Memorial University Lions are 12-6 on the year, and look to add another victory when they take on Florida National University on Tuesday, March 6th at 3:00 pm at Harry T. Moore Baseball Field.
